This FTDI USB to TTL Serial Cable for Raspberry Pi - 4 Way is compatible professional, high quality, high speed device which allows you to debug your Raspberry Pi.
It also allows you to connect your PC directly to your Raspberry Pi Serial Port.
Total length is 1.8 Meters (+/- 0.10m) and is Based on the FTDI FT232R Chipset, It has been programmed to supply up to a Maximum of 500mA on Pin 1 (+5V / VCC) (We have a 3 way version too if you do not need draw power)
All you do is plug the device in, no messing around with which header goes into which GPIO port.
One end of the cable has the header socket which connect to four pins on the Expansion/GPIO connector on the Raspberry Pi.
The cable uses the 3.3V logic levels required by the Pi and also provides +5V power to your Raspberry Pi when connected to a PC,
subject to the USB port supplying the sufficient current for your setup. (Please do not overload your Pi and up to a maximum of 500mA can be drawn)
