This FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) Serial Cable (FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 OEM) is a professional, high quality, high speed device which allows a simple and easy way to connect TTL interface devices using a spare USB port.
The FTDI USB to TTL 3.3V features a FTDI FT232R device integrated within the cable USB type ‘A’ connector, which provide access to UART Transmit (Tx), Receive (Rx), RTS#, CTS#, VCC (5V) and GND connections.
This USB to TTL has it's I/O lines (CTS, RTS, Tx, Rx) configured to operate at 3.3V levels
Its features are identical to FTDI's USB to TTL cable (TTL-232R-3V3) with the same colour wires / pin out using a 6 Pin 0.1" (2.54mm) header.
This FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) also supports the same features found within the FT232R IC e.g. Supports FT232R FTDIChip-ID™
This FTDI USB to 3.3V I/O TTL serial adapter cable can fit & be used with many different boards & applications which include DACIO modules, RS232 Interface Loggers and also many new designs which require TTL logic including Ardunio boards.
The FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) uses a FTDI FT232R IC, which is one of the latest and most powerful USB to Serial/TTL IC on the market.
This USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) has 3.3V CMOS drive outputs and 5V safe TTL inputs which makes this USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) easy to interface to 3.3V MCUs.
Also provides 5V output to allow devices to be powered from the USB port.
The FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) is made using USB 2.0 specification cable and is marked as CE & FCC & RoHS approved.
This FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) serial cable is 1.8M (nominal) in length with a 2.54mm (0.1") pitch header which provides access via a 6 way connector (GND, CTS, VCC (+5V), Tx, Rx, RTS)
This FTDI USB to TTL (3.3V I/O) serial cable can be used on WinCE, Windows 98 to Windows 7 inc 64 bit
including Windows Server 2008. It also supports MAC OS 8.6+ to 10.6+ as well as Linux.
